An online forum for collectors interested in stamps and other philatelics from Southern Africa , other parts of Africa , the British Empire and Commonwealth , Europe and the colonial era worldwide .
Welcome Note
Greetings from your Postmaster at Royal Port Natal Philatelics , Last Outpost of the Stamp Collecting Empire , situated in Durban , on the subtropical east coast of South Africa .
As a collector , my likes are quite varied : new and used definitive and commemorative stamps , FDC`s , commemorative covers , collectors sheets , miniature sheets , postcards and other items of postal historical interest from all parts of the world . My speciality interest areas are Southern Africa , British Empire and Commonwealth , Europe, colonial issues , Asia and the Americas.
The period I aim for is the 1840`s to 1970`s , but I also appreciate interesting issues up to present day .
In both appreciating your interest and respecting your time spent here , I do hope that you enjoy your visit . Bookmark this page for regular return visits and subscribe to this blog for all updates posted here .
As your Postmaster , I aim to make this a pleasant , informative and educational online forum , where we can share mutual interests in philately , improve our collections and make some good friends as well .
To make it all really happen , your constructive comments , views and contributions are always welcome and valued , so please feel free to share these with me here at any time .
Best collecting wishes ...
Davey .
